Udupi: MCC’s chief accountant’s car driver ends life by jumping before speeding train

Udupi, Jan 25: The car driver of Mangaluru City Corporation’s (MCC) chief accountant ended his life in Indrali by jumping before a speeding train.

The incident took place in the wee hours on Wednesday January 25. The deceased is identified as Raghvendra Hegde of Hebri.

A car was found near the spot of incident. The car bears a green official board stating ‘Mangaluru City Corporation - chief accountant’.

As per sources, Raghavendra was working as a car driver of the MCC’s chief accountant on contract basis.

Manipal police visited the spot and conducted the legal procedures.

Social worker Nithyananda Volakadu assisted in shifting the body.
