Mangaluru: Pedestrian hit by lorry near Talapady toll gate, dies

Mangaluru, Nov 30: A pedestrian died on the spot on the NH-66 near the Talapady toll gate when a lorry hit him on Monday.

The deceased is identified as Vasanth Kumar Rai (55), a resident of Adooru of Mulleri.

Following the accident, Vasanth Kumar Rai suffered severe head injury and was rushed to a hospital by the toll gate personnel in an ambulance. He died on the way to the hospital.

Mangaluru traffic police have seized the lorry and have registered a case against its driver.
