Nov 28: No Covid-19 cases reported from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 28: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, November 28, reported zero coronavirus cases while nil cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,184, out of which 2 are currently active. Three patients were discharged on November 28.

No deaths were reported on November 28. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.


Nil coronavirus cases were reported on November 28. The total active Covid cases are 1.

85 persons were tested on November 28.

A total of 10,90,860 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,726 have received both doses and 2,99,798 people have received booster doses.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 60,94,570 as fine and 55,123 people have been penalised.

    It is obvious.., as we near election .. till election conclude the covid cases may be no or low numbers..., though Christmas week there may be a chance of increase ..... leading to invoke caution protocol. Courtesy Jokara theory..
