Kasargod, Nov 15: Deacon Sylvester D’Souza from Kayyar Kokkechal here passed away on Monday November 14. He was 81.
Ordained as a deacon on May 31, 1992, Sylvester had served the Holy Family Cathedral, Kuwait for 57 years from 1962 to 2019 under four bishops namely the late Bishop Ubaldo Stella OCD, the late Bishop Victor San Miguel OCD, the late Bishop Francis Micallef OCD and the late Bishop Camillo Ballin - Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus.
Sylvester is survived by wife Gertrude D’Souza and children.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10.30 am on Wednesday November 16 at Milagres Church, Mangaluru followed by burial.
