Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 28: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 34 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 33,701. Out of these, 281 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,20,272 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,86,571 are negative.

As many as 11 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,681.

A total of 739 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 28,259 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 29,49,570 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,301, including 14 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 46 cases are currently active.

Over 3,32,122 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,08,821 have turned out negative.

As many as five patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,066.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
