Haveri, Oct 29: In a tragic incident which happened at Hosalli village in Savanur taluk of the district, a boy died after the school gate fell on him.
A student was playing in the ground of the government higher primary school at Hosalli on Wednesday October 28. The gate fell on him when he was playing and he was rushed to the hospital.
The deceased was Irshad Geelani Hantegalar (10), a fifth standard student. Irshad, accompanied by some of his friends, was playing in the school premises when the gate fell on him. He sustained serious injuries to his head. When being shifted to hospital for treatment, he breathed his last on the way.
