Mumbai, Oct 28: Karnataka state government on its 65th Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations selected excellent social worker, chairman of Bhavani Shipping Services Private (India) Limited and founder president of Bhavani Foundation, Mumbai, Daddangady Chelladka Kusumodhara D Shetty for the Karnataka Rajyotsava award.
He was the recipient of the Journalism Kannada Rajyotsava Award 2017 of the Newspapers Association of Karnataka. He had also served as honorary chief secretary of the Bunts Sangha, Mumbai and executive president of Matrabhoomi Cooperative Credit Society Limited.
He hails from Vitla, Bantwal taluk and is the son of Kepu-Adyanadka Kuddupadav residents late Chelladka Bhavani Deranna Shetty and Bhavani Deranna Shetty.
