Bantwal, Oct 23: Another shocking murder has been reported from the coast on Friday, October 23 just a couple of days after the murder of actor Surendra Bantwal.
Rowdy-sheeter Umar Farooq was hacked to death by gang in Bogodi, Melkar with machetes. Kalladka resident Farooq who was also known as Chenne Farooq had several cases pending against him in Bantwal police station.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Farooq died on the way to the hospital.
As per sources close to Farooq, it is suspected that he may have been murdered following personal enmity. Meanwhile, locals believe that his friends whom he was once acquainted to may have killed him.
It is said that another rowdy-sheeter residing in Kalladka was friends with Farooq before hostility grew between the two.
Farooq was on his way to Melkar from Kalladka on his bike when the gang attacked him.
