Bengaluru: MP Tejasvi Surya violating COVID guidelines - HC seeks explanation from govt

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 16: On Thursday October 15, the high court (HC) directed the state government to spell out the action it has taken against MP Tejasvi Surya, who also happens to be an advocate, for violating coronavirus guidelines.

A bench of the high court presided over by Chief Justice A S Oka, issued this direction. Letz Kidz Foundation had filed public interest litigation about not following the coronavirus-related guidelines.

Advocate G R Mohan, had filed a photo with memo in this respect. The bench went through them and commented that it appears that Tejasvi Surya, who also happens to be an advocate, had violated the guidelines. The bench wanted to know what action was taken by the government against him for the said violation.

The bench observed that the high court, on September 18, had issued certain directions to the government relating to abiding by the COVID guidelines. It expressed concern as it felt that they appear to have not been followed so far.

Our Poli-ticians/Jan Sevaks? (to whichever party they belong) think that they are above the law of the land, and hence, unaccountable to the Constitution under which, they have taken their 'Oath of Office'.

Unfortunately, our Constitution/all pillars of our Constitution have been hijacked by these very so-called leaders, to suit their own agenda/greed/ego. Until they learn to follow the laws/rules set for the good of the whole country, India's becoming a fully-developed/progressive/model country, will only remain a dream.

Our so called elcted reprentative are so supreme that they can do anything whatever they want. No rules regulations applies for them. Better to bring one amendment to the Indian constituition. Laws, rules and regulations for the general public only.

MPs/MLAs are exempted from law of the land. They are eligible for pension. Their income is guaranteed no matter what they do. Blame voters, not them.

Why HC has to ask the government if a Individual is violating COVID guidelines...????? If the HC & SC....think that elected representatives are above them...this kind of stupid questions arise for sure.

Either Tejasvi gets a fine like others or govt. reimburses all those who have paid fine for not following covid guidelines. It is that simple. Rules are rules for everyone irrespective of the position. The shopkeeper will sell a can of coke for same price whether it for a PM or MP or MLA or common man. Same goes with not following rules.

He is superhuman, rules and regulations are only for common people like us, nobody can prosecute him, he is assured of a clean chit for whatever he does, he is our future, he is a strong pillar of the ruling government, he is our potential leader,. In other words he is omnipotent. Rest of the common people are “puncturewalas”
