Udupi, Sep 12: Many people are willing to do service to the society although there is not much in their own lives. We get many such examples in society. Here is a person who entertains the public on the occasion of Asthma festival in Udupi to raise funds for donating it to needy children. The kind-hearted person is Ramanji who is a unique social worker.

For the last eight years he has been rendering this service. He wears unique costumes to entertain the people on the occasion of Janmashtami. He has helped many needy children during the last eight years to get medical treatment.

This year he came up with a new concept called 'Co-vidha' to raise awareness about Covid among the general public. He won many hearts with his interesting and attractive concept.

During this pandemic period the district administration did not give permission to him to undertake entertainment activities. Last year he had helped two terminally ill girls to get medical treatment.

He appeared in the form of characters like Nagasadhu, Apalipco Marikadu, Thayyam and so on the occasion of Ashtami festival in the previous years.

A well known artist Prashanth Udyavar and his team helped Ramanji to get this unique costume. He went around the city to create awareness through his fancy dress up.

Ramanji is an enthusiastic youth brought up in Namma Bhoomi Kundapur, an NGO. He is involved in 'Ranghabhoomi' theatre and other social activities.
