Shivamogga, Jul 30: Well known Ayurveda practitioner, Dr Giridhar Kaje, said that he does not want to commercialise the special medicine he invented for warding off corona infection. He said that if the government comes forward to provide this medicine free of cost to those having primary contact with the coronavirus infected persons, he is ready to provide the formula of the medicine to the government free of cost.

Speaking in a media interaction programme here, Dr Kaje said he cannot supply medicine to everyone but said that he will provide the formula to the government if it is ready to manufacture the medicine at different places. He disclosed that he had invented this medicine two decades back as antiviral medicine. He said he had successfully used this medicine against viruses and with government permission. This medicine was experimented on 10 persons under laws and rules of the government out of 100 cases then prevailing in Bengaluru. "All of them had symptoms of coronavirus apart from other diseases. All 10 were relieved of symptoms in five days and corona completely went out of the system in ten days," he disclosed.

He said he has sought government permission to experiment this medicine on 1,000 people and hopes to get permission soon. He said one of the conditions is that in the long run, it should not have adverse effects, pointing out that he has been using this medicine without side effects since the last 20 years. He said Ayurveda has hundreds of antiviral drugs which even allopathy does not have, and Ayurvedic preparations are safe.

Minister K S Eshwarappa, who was also present at the event, said that Dr Kaje is an asset of Karnataka and that Ayurveda has a cure for all the ailments if the patients have faith and patience. He said that the government will extend support to Dr Kaje.
