Mangaluru: 13 post offices to remain shut on July 20 after two staff test positive

Mangaluru, Jul 19: As many as 13 post offices in the city will remain closed on Monday July 20 as a precautionery measure after staff members of the main post office tested positive for coronavirus.

Senior postal superintendent Sriharsha N of the postal department has informed that 13 post offices of the city will remain closed as two staff members of main post office at Pandeshwar have tested positive for coronovirus infection.

The main post office at Pandeshwar and post offices at Hampankatta, Ashoknagar, Gandhinagar, Boloor, Kuloor, Konchady, Kavoor, Bejai, Kodialbail, Falnir, Fishries College, Mangaluru Collectorate and S O office will not function on Monday.

All the 13 post offices were sanitized on Saturday, July 18. Hence they have to be kept closed for two days, said Sriharshan N
