Bantwal, Jun 29: It was an occasion where everyone was emotional. All the members of Amtady gram panchayat (GP) in the taluk joined together, sinking their political affiliations at the end of the panchayat term, where they joyfully recollected the work they did during the period the current team was in office.

A programme was organized under the leadership of outgoing president of Amtady gram panchayat, Harish Shetty Padu, on Saturday. This farewell programme became a model which could be emulated by others because of several unique features.

Amtady gram panchayat was ruled by BJP-supported panchayat members who were in majority. The panchayat also has some Congress-supported members. At the farewell however, the members sank their differences of political views and presented a united face. Harish Shetty Padu, who was very active during his term, felicitated all the 19 panchayat members who cooperated with him during the last five years, 14 staff members including the panchayat development officer, and 16 pump operators. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the panchayat could undertake development works with the support of all the panchayat members, villagers, officials and the MLA. He said he had organized this programme specially to convey his gratefulness to everyone for the way they supported him.

Gram panchayat vice president Yashoda, development officer Muhammed B, secretary Laxminarayan, Amtady village accountant Shashikumar, Kuriyala village accountant Amrutanshu, assistant engineer Ajith etc were present.

Various organizations and institutions from Amtady and Kuriyala villages felicitated Harish Shetty on this occasion.

Mahatma Gandhi said real India lives in its villages and that village is the main home of farmers. This gram panchyat proved they are the role model for the central ruling BJP government under PM Modi's. To achieve 'Good governance' the critics and suggestion of the opposition parties should be always welcome. The ugliest government is the one which is spreading fear to its own people! The finest government is the one which encourages its own people to criticize the government harshly.” “In a country where people are afraid of criticizing the government, many things must be going horrible!
Unfortunately, this 'operation kamala' lust central ruling government made Congress party is bigger enemy than China even though they are inside our border occupying Indian sovereign land.

Keep the good work with the unity.
