Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 5: The Karnataka Lokayukta has dropped the names of former chief minister Siddaramaiah, and former minister K J George, from the complaint about irregularities in Indira Canteens received by it. The names were dropped for want of proof and evidences.

In his complaint alleging irregularities in the setting up of and providing food through Indira Canteens, petitioner Ganesh Singh, had named Siddaramaiah and George as accused No. 1 and 2 respectively. He also had accused BBMP commissioner and IFS officer Manoj Ranjan, involved with the construction of Indira Canteen buildings as accused.

Lokayukta Justice Vishwanath Shetty, who looked into the complaint, said in his order that the complainant has not provided supportive documents and evidences about the alleged roles played by Siddaramaiah and George in the alleged irregularities. He also said that food supply to canteen is done under the supervision of BNMP and not chief minister.

Lokayukta officials said that investigation against the other two persons named in the complaint will continue.

Siddaramaiah's successive attempts to nominate Justice Vishwanath
Shetty as Lokayukta was rejected by the Governor owing to the
allegations of filing false affidavit by Justice shetty to obtain a 9600

People should be more interested in finding out why all mega-projects of the Central Government went to Choksi-state.

People should ask why 150,000 crore Bullet Train benefits only people belonging to the Choksi-state.

No. Some supporters of the Choksi-state leaders here are worried about some peanut canteens - even if the accuser has no evidence whatsoever.

Whatever said and done, this case proves that arrogant scheming Siddu & his pal Georgie had looted during the implementation of Indira Canteen and that this project was to fund CONgress assembly elections campaign. Idea was to en-cash on Siddu's 'popularity' of being some kind of messiah.
But we all know what happened afterwards, not only Siddu lost badly on home turf Chamundeshwari, but also made party 76 seats from 123 seats. lost power and played second rung peon to grandfather son party JDS. Georgie meanwhile is mired in corruption scandals
