Dharwad: Police seize trucks carrying migrant workers from Mangaluru, Kasargod

Dharwad, May 19: Police personnel of Garag station here took into possession two trucks carrying 74 migrant workers from Mangaluru and Kasargod illegally.

These trucks had 27 migrant workers form Kasargod, and 47 from Mangaluru. They were bound for Rajasthan. During verification by the personnel at the Garag police check post, it came to light that the trucks were carrying people illegally.

The trucks bearing registration numbers RJ 14 BJ 2909 and HR 46 CS 703 were taken over by the police. They arranged for the stay of migrant workers at Pattanasetti marriage hall in Dharwad.

Complaint was registered against both the truck drivers. District superintendent of police Vartika Katiyar, said that arrangements to send all the workers to Rajasthan would be made.

    Poor migrants who contributed for the development of this country, who voted for this Govt, who used their skills for their own country, looked after their aged parents, paid tax are suffering a lot. Very sad.

    Where as super rich people from gulf, who used their qualification which they got through free education policy of our country and used it for development of other country by working like slaves, who never part of our democracy, who never paid a single rupee tax are travelling by Boeing in subsidized ticked.
