Mumbai, Mar 2: "Bunt community has always been close to my heart. I had represented Mangaluru and Udupi Lok Sabha constituencies in the past. Bunt community people solidly blessed me in both these elections and ensured my victory. Bunts are everywhere. They are in films, sports, arts, hotel business, medical field etc. Bunts have become famous allover the country. Their contributions for the upliftment of the country have been enormous. This progamme of Bunts too has been inspirational for the young generation. Let these progrmmes inspire the next Bunt generation to wish that they too would win such awards in future," said former Karnataka chief minister and union minster for chemicals and fertilizers, D V Sadananda Gowda (DVS).

He was speaking after inaugurating a programme of IBCC exhibition of industries and 'Bunts Star Achievers Award 2020' ceremony organized at Sahara Star Hotel auditorium at Santacruz (east) on Sunday march 1 evening by Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industrie, a prestigious organization of nationally recognized industrialists belonging to Bunt community.

There is nothing great in experiencing the happiness within oneself. Instead, it gets meaningful when our friends and the employees working for us also become happy. At present, there is a need for us to convey important message about self employment formation. Industries or enterprises cannot be opened single-handedly. It needs a group of employees who work hard for the success, and their contribution is important. Long term vision results in success. Team spirit is very much needed in all fields. Everywhere we find happiness, grief, success and defeat. They are a part of our life. Our life is to face the challenges and going ahead. You are a medium of creating employment and hence you are not merely entrepreneurs. How many people are getting employment because of you? Our people are in good employment the world over. We have talent, but no encouragement. We need to encourage good workers and we should strive to do away with unemployment problem. Only then we can eradicate poverty in real sense and make the country strong. Institutions like Bunts Chamber can achieve country's progress and development," said Nitin Gadkari.

Prakash Shetty, one of the awardees, said he is feeling proud at having received the award from the hands of Nitin Gadkari. "During my 26 years of service, I have got several awards. No doubt one of the most enterprising community and bunts have big heart to share their earninings to soceity at large. be it temples, colleges or even small little towns there cannot be a place which do not have imprint of a bunt on it. However, bunts needs to do a lot on uplifting the poor in the villages as well as brining the communities apart from caste and creed together. for this bunts and billavas must come together. Both must not compete with each other instead join their talent together and work for community jointly. My dream would be Billava & Bunt Sangha.
