Mangaluru: Pumpwell flyover accident - Some information out on Alto occupants

Mangaluru, Feb 11: The police who are probing the accident involving an Alto and Duster cars on Saturday that claimed the life of a person, after lot of efforts, have got some information about the occupants of the Alto car. Sources said that four persons seated inside the Alto 800 car were close relatives and that the accident happened when they were returning after visiting Pilikula.

The Alto car had five occupants. Two of them have been hospitalised. There is no information about the other three. The police, who continued to investigate deeper, came to know that four among the occupants were cousins.

The group, when returning from Pilikula, had decided to move around the city. After moving around Kadri park, they were moving towards Thokkottu via Nanthoor. The driver, it is said, was driving the vehicle at high speed as it was too late.

Three persons in the car appeared in the city (south) traffic police station on Monday and recorded their statements about the accident. The police are investigating further.
