Bengaluru, Jan 24: With the return of chief minister B S Yediyurappa, from his six-day tour to Davos where he took part in World Economic Forum on Friday, January 24, the issue of ministry expansion is likely to be taken up on a war footing. Yediyurappa, before leaving on the visit, had assured that the issue would be attended to immediately, after he returns from his foreign trip.

During the visit by union home minister and former BJP president Amit Shah, on January 18, Yediyurappa had discussed about the need to expand his ministry and had submitted list of probables. During the period the chief minister was away, some of the legislators who changed sides and won the election with BJP tickets, had visited some senior party leaders in an effort to get important portfolios.

These leaders had met newly-elected national president of the BJP J P Nadda, in the guise of congratulating him. They also had met BJP national organizing general secretary B L Santhosh, it is said. Therefore, the ministerial aspirants, who are fed up of playing the waiting game, are sure to bring pressure on Yediyurappa to act fast on the issue.
