Mangaluru: Zakharia Al Muzain elected president of M Friends Charitable trust

Mangaluru, Apr 26: Zacharia Al Muzain Jokatte, an NRI entrepreneur, philanthropist, and CEO of Zubail Al Muzain company in Saudi Arabia, has been elected as the president for the term 2024-26 of the Mercy Friends Charitable Trust, a renowned service organization in coastal Karnataka.

This organization, which has completed 11 years since its inception, has served society with projects worth Rs five crore. It has prioritized health, education, food, and fundamental infrastructure in its endeavours.

The office bearers for 2024-26 were elected during the executive meeting of the organization held at the Ocean Pearl Jade Banquet Hall in the city on the evening of Thursday, April 25th. Arif Padubidri was elected as the chief secretary, Zubair Bulerikatte as the treasurer, Dr Mubashir, V H Ashraf Vittal, and Aboobacker Uppinangady as vice presidents, and Anwar Hussain Goodinabali and Sheikh Isaac Kodimbala as secretaries. Mohammed Hanif Hajee Goltamajalu, Rashid Vittal, Mohammed Sharif Moodbidri, Kalandar Parthipadi, Aboobacker Notary, and NRI trustee Hanif Puttur (Dubai) were elected as members of the executive committee.

The organization consists of 64 members, and a 15-member executive committee was elected during the tri-annual general body meeting recently held at the HIF Hall in the city.
