Mangaluru, Jan 13: Konkani music lovers who came in large numbers, enjoyed every moment of 22nd Norbert Nite held on Sunday, January 12 at St Agnes Special School grounds. The show was organized by Alfred Bennis Creations, Mangaluru.

In a brief stage programme held at the beginning of the event, special guests Roy Castelino, former president, Konkani Sahitya Academy, Alwyn Fernandes Valencia, Felix Moras, managing director, Ujjval Properties, Niramal D’Souza of Karavali Konkans, John D’Souza Milagres and Sr Maria Anitha graced the dais.

In his speech Roy Castelino said, "Alfred Bennis formed ABC creation not to make money. At the time of formation, he had a goal. He intended to help the poor and needy. It is his 30th programme and each programme was organised for a cause. He never went behind publicity or making profit. On one end, he supported and provided a stage to the talents and on the other he became a Good Samaritan for the needy. I congratulate him for his 30th event. At the same time I wish the very best to Norbert Pereira for his musical journey."

Addressing the gathering, Nirmal D’Souza said, "We all do social service through associations and NGOs. But Alfred Bennis is doing social service as a one-man army. His dedication and commitment towards his mission is highly appreciated. As a single person, we all can help poor and needy. We all have the habit of wasting food. No one thinks about millions of people in the world struggling to have one square meal a day. So proper usage of food itself is a charity and it is our responsibility also. Alfred Bennis is an inspiration to all of us. I wish him the best for his upcoming events."

Eric Ozario and Joyce Ozario released Norbert Pereira’s seventh musical album 'Tuje Vene'.

Along with Norbert, Gulf Voice of Mangaluru (GVOM) title winner Robin Sequeira, NRI entrepreneur-cum-singer Joseph Mathais, Daijiworld TV’s ‘Mozo Thalo Gaithalo’ title winner Velita Lobo, young singing sensation Jaison Lobo, music composer and trainer Jude Fernandes, Shilpa Cutinha, Silvia Fernandes, Sasha D’Souza, and Disha Moras rendered their melodious vocals for the compositions of Norbert Pereira.

Ace music director of Mangaluru Roshan D'Souza and his team enthralled the audience by their classic music.

This show was compered by the well-known master of ceremony Alwyn Danthi Pernal.

Young and aspiring dancers of famous dance academy ‘Thunder Guys’ Bajpe entertained the audience with their mind blowing dance performances. In addition to this, the audience also witnessed a dose of comedy from the ever popular comedy team 'Memory' including popular Konkani movie and serial actors, who created sea of laughter through their hilarious jokes.

The proceeds of this ’Nite’, it is stated are in aid for the students of St Agnes Special School, Mangaluru. Daijiworld.com was the official media partner of the event.

We watched it online on Daiji. Hats off to Mr. Bennis for organizing such a pleasant nite. Norbert has great lyrical and musical talents and a superb voice. His compositions are excellent. Velita was simply awesome. We could enjoy jokes only 50% because the audio was muted. But it is Ok.
