Kuwait: 'SWAK Rupyalo Sambram' musical extravaganza on January 17

Kuwait, Jan 12: Shirva Welfare Association Kuwait (SWAK) is back with yet another musical extravaganza for Konkani music lovers with 'SWAK Rupyalo Sambram', slated to be held in Kuwait on January 17 at American International School, Maidan Hawally Kuwait at sharp 4:30 pm.

The event promises 4 hours of non-stop entertainment with a variety of lively enthralling melodious songs contributed by Konkani singers of the different generations on one stage for the first time in Kuwait, to bring more excitement among the Konkani music lovers. The performing superstars of this gala event are Sangeeth Samrat - Henry D’Souza, Yodeling King - Melwyn Peris, Konkan Kalashree – Claud D’Souza, Heartthrob of Konkani – Prajoth D’Sa, multilingual singer Anitha D’Souza and introducing for the first time in Gulf, the MTG fame young talented singer Velita Lobo.

They will be supported by popular local artists, foot-tapping dancers and rib-tickling comedy skits from professional actors of Konkani Community and much more.

Well-known comedian and public speaker Jerry Rasquinha who is the compere for the entire event, will entertain the audience with his humour and keep the atmosphere cheerful. He has already arrived Kuwait and taking care of preparations.

The event will mark the completion of SWAK’s 25 years of meritorious service towards the social cause and upliftment of the deprived families.

The proceeds of this event will go towards the welfare funding of SWAK’s charitable activities, especially the upbringing of poor children, in the field of education by funding school fees and uniform, providing financial help to improve the living conditions by repairing dilapidated homes and giving medical assistance by sharing their monetary burden to combat their illnesses.
