Colder Christmas, poor AQI for Mumbaikars

Mumbai, Dec 25: IMD has predicted a colder Christmas for Mumbai and stated that the minimum temperature is likely to be around 22 degrees.

Regardless of the temperature drop, the pollution level in the city worsened on Tuesday with the Air Quality Index (AQI) spiking on 'poor category'.

"Model guidance for maximum temperature forecast is indicating a drop in temperatures December 25 onwards in most parts of Maharashtra. Interior (area) are indicating more drop. The minimum temperature forecast is also in line with same trends," IMD deputy director-general (west), KS Hosalikar said.
