Bantwal: Two arrested in Modankap temple theft case

Bantwal, Jul 28: The Town police here have arrested two persons in connection with the recent theft at the Adishakti Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple near Modankap.

The accused have been identified as Suresh, a resident of Kumbla, and Abdul Razak, a resident of Shanti Angadi in B C Road.

A few days ago, old puja materials along with copper and brass articles were reported missing from the temple.

During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage, which showed two persons carrying away the stolen items in a gunny bag. Based on the footage, the police launched an operation and arrested the two accused.

    Such thieves have no respect from even temple or Gods house.Make them to clean the temple for a year atleast.Nothing else.Dont put in jail.Who should pay fort heir expence?So let them do it by cleaning .
