Mangaluru: Serial killer Cyanide Mohan's 16th murder charge found proved

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 22: The charge of murdering a 33-year-old woman from Bekoor near Uppal, Kasargod district, levelled against serial killer, Cyanide Mohan, was found to have been proved on Friday September 20. This happened to be the 16th case in which Mohan's involvement with murder of ladies has been proved. Hearing over the quantum of punishment will be held on September 25.

Mohan came face to face with the unmarried lady from Bekoor at Uppal bus stand during April, 2007. She was a music teacher by profession, and Mohan had introduced himself as Sudhakar Acharya, employed in forest department. He then had succeeded in enticing her into loving him. He also promised to marry and visited her parents.

The teacher had released a devotional album on Koti Chennaya and had left home on May 28, 2007, in the guise of audio recording at Mangaluru. She met Mohan at the government bus stand in Mangaluru, went to Bengaluru, and stayed at Saptagiri Palace Lodge at Cottonpet there. The room was rented in the name of Sudhakar Acharya.

The next morning, Mohan as per his tried and tested plan, asked her to accompany him for puja, leaving behind ornaments in the lodge. He took her to government bus stand and advised her to go into the toilet and swallow the cyanide tablet he gave her in the name of contraceptive pill, as the two had sex at the lodge the previous night. She collapsed inside the toilet and locals took her to hospital. But she had died by then.

Mohan directly went to the lodge, took away the ornaments and sold them at Mangaluru. The girl's family, fearing that the reputation of family members would be sullied and marriage of the other two girls would be rendered difficult, did not file police complaint. They thought that their daughter was living happily with her husband. After Mohan was arrested in 2009 and his photos were flashed in television sets, the sister of the woman filed missing complaint in Upparpet Bengaluru police station.

The police seized the ornament sold by him. Judge of the court, Sayeedunnisa, who examined 38 witnesses and 49 exhibits, concluded that the crime was proved. Public prosecutor, Judith O M Crasta, argued the case on behalf of the prosecution.

Out of about 20 murder cases lodged against Mohan for killing girls after befriending them and showing interest to marry them, hearing has been completed in 16 cases and he has been found guilty in all these cases.

Proved he killed 16 girls. Court has to kill him 16 times. But he has only one life.

He should be put in dark room and he should be given food only once in two days till he live.

He should not be killed once.

Today India is celebrating 'Daughters Day'. In any sane democracy, even one murder of daughter is enough to send the serial rape killer famously know as Cyanide Mohan to death.

But only in PM Modi's India Cyanide Mohan, Unnao rape, Chinmayanand, and others are glorified due to their political connections.

While Cyanide Mohan is proved from 16th murder, Yogi government is sponsoring Devi Awards, an event that honors women arresting the rape victim in 'extortion' case.

With a total of 3,457 cases of rapes against children registered and only 22 (about 3 percent) disposed of, Uttar Pradesh is becoming infamous for being unsafe. The UP BJP has organized 17 editions of Devi Awards so far.

While UP BJP government announces 'Devi' award, Karnataka BJP offers Deputy Chief Minister Laxam Savdi who caught watching 'Porn' in the house of the assembly who justified watching saying it is for 'educational purpose'. In the neighboring state of Goa, another BJP member wanted in teens rapes case enjoying BJP's support.

Cyanide Mohan is not as lucky as Pragnya or Purohit. Else, he would have been already out of jail under the rule in India since 2014.

He deserves to be punished brutally for all the wrongs he has committed. We again don't have to him released on bail and freely roaming around and committing more crimes such as these.
