The theft is believed to have occurred in the said house when Veena, wife of Lohith, was away briefly at around 12 pm on Tuesday to buy household things.

When Veena went out of the house, she had locked the Godrej almirah and left its keys nearby. The task of the thieves therefore was made easy, and they burgled gold, silver items and cash.
