Bengaluru: Brave lady drives away gun-wielding robbers from jewellery shop

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 22: An attempt made by miscreants to threaten the owners of a jewellery store and make away with gold ornaments was foiled by a bold lady who was at the shop. The miscreants had to beat a hasty retreat on account of belligerence shown by the lady.

The incident happened at 'Samrat Jewellers' located at Palace Guttahalli, a densely populated area in the city. The shop is located just 200 meters away from the police station. The Vyalikaval police have registered a case and continued with the probe. City police commissioner, Bhaskar Rao, said that a bullet and cell phone of one of the accused were found from the spot.

At around 2.40 pm on Wednesday August 21, owner of Samrat Jewellers, Ashish, and his wife, Rakhi, were the only people present inside the shop when two young men entered the shop. One of them was wearing a helmet. They asked Rakhi to show them a golden chain. When Rakhi was showing the chain, one among them fired a bullet towards the roof. But Rakhi was unmoved by the threat of gun. She immediately tossed a chair she was using towards the strangers. Ashish also rushed towards the two youngsters, raising an alarm, in an attempt to catch hold of the culprits. At this juncture, the miscreants felt threatened and began to run but Ashish continued to chase them with shouts of Chor! Chor!!

The locals also began hot pursuit of the two. The miscreants along with another person who was standing by the road, began to run towards Guttahalli.   One of the accused threw his helmet towards the crowd. At that time, his cell phone also fell to the ground. The robbers succeeded in escaping from the crowd.

Anyway it was not the day for robbers. They chose a wrong shop, wrong time .and wrong persons.Anyway the lady was not impressed with gun shot.May be the gun they had wasnt the real, only play gun?Real robbers would first catch hold of personal or direct shooting to getaway them out of their way.Thank God they arent harmed,no loss.I am sure they were beginners.

Rakhi, the Brave lady drives away gun-wielding robbers from jewellery shop. Rakhi was unmoved by the threat of gun, immediately tossed a chair she was using towards the strangers. Reason, she didn't want to lose the gold from her shop. Two shots would have been sufficient and it would have been a great tragedy.

My hats off to Rakhi for driving away the gun-wielding robbers and also to her husband who took the risk of their lives. Anything could have happened since the thieves had a gun with them. I have no words to express how they had the courage to deal with this robbery. I hope the robbers are apprehended as soon as possible.

Before venturing into any trade should work under experienced people to get basic knowledge. Person who won't safeguard his mobile during such act..what else he can do in future. After all failure itself step-stone of success in future. You can now easily traceable. Go back to your native place soon..but no use.
