Kundapur: Elderly person dies after hit by lorry on NH66

Kundapur, Jul 20: In a tragic incident, an 85-year-old man walking beside NH66 at Neergadde, Shiroor, died on the spot after hit by a lorry on Saturday, July 20.

The deceased has been identified as Maidinapura, Neergadde, Shirur resident Thimmappa Achary. He was said to be on the way for work related to furnace while a fruits laden goods lorry on its way from Kochi to Mumbai hit him.

Thimmappa Achary died on the spot due to the impact.

A case was registered at Byndoor police station.
