Mangaluru: Good rains in twin districts -   To continue for next 48 hours

Mangaluru, May 26: The twin districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi received good rains with thunder and lightning on the late night of Friday, May 24.

Suratkal, Mangaluru, Vittal, Kinnigoli, Mulki, Beltangady, Guruvayanakere, Ujire, Dharmasthala, Uppinangady, Puttur, Venur and B C Road areas of Dakshina Kannada district received summer showers. Areas around Subramanya witnessed moderate rains on Saturday.

Rain with thunder poured in the city of Udupi, Manipal, Padubidri, Karkala and Kundapur.

More than 50 personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have arrived to Mangaluru on Saturday, to handle any natural calamity. This team will carry out precautionary works in the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Karwar and Kodagu.

Many parts of the state also witnessed good rainfall on Saturday. The weather was cloudy throughout the state.

    yours:Is it able to clarify in detail Mr. Alphonso how only bjp bhakts property will be affected..leaving behind others. Should we think prayer of yours will be fulfilled....which is seen in recent election. Prayer only can answered if one sit in cave overnight during climax.

    We badly need the rain as the water scarcity is getting from bad to worst. The more we get it is better for everyone. The next few days will be critical if we don't get heavy rains. So let us all pray to God that we get rain.

    It doesn't rain in summer. Yet there were good pre-monsoon showers a couple of times. When devine men like Modi & Amit Shah set foot in coastal Karnataka, Lord Varun does oblige with bountiful rains.
