Mangaluru, May 22: Entrepreneurship Development Club (EDC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, here, recently organised a one day 'Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme' for Engineering, MBA and MCA students.

Dr Chidanand C Gavimath, special officer ED cell, Visvesvarayya Technological University, Belagavi was chief guest of the programme.

The programme was aimed at providing information on entrepreneurship and the steps used to be a successful entrepreneur.

The first session provided invaluable information on role of an entrepreneur, characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and qualities of an entrepreneur, entrepreneurial skills and the road-map ahead.

The second session provided types of entrepreneurs according to the business, entrepreneurs in technology, career paths/skills associated with engineering.

This programme was initiated and supported by Dr Srinivasa Mayya D, principal. The event was organised by Dr Radhakrishnan, EDC coordinator, secretary Sudarshan K, dept of CSE and joint secretary Sowmya, dept of ISE.
