Udupi: Milagres School Kallianpur organises Cancer Awareness Programme on International Women’s Day

Udupi, Mar 9: Milagres English Medium School along with Sukaayu Cancer Foundation and PTA on the occasion of International Women's Day organised 'Cancer awareness programme' for parents on March 8 at the school hall.

Dr Ashwanth Rao, an old student of the school was the resource person. Varsha Mestha, a talented student of Milagres, presently in 10th std who represented Karnataka U-16 girls volleyball team at national level was chief guest. She was felicitated by the PTA and school heads. Fr Dr Lawence D’Souza, correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions presided over the function.

Dr Ashwath Rao, spoke on various types of cancer, detection mechanisms, types of chemotherapy and treatment and awareness on breast cancer.



The programme began with a prayer by the high school students. Sunitha Lasrado, PTA president compered the programme. During this programme, Dr Ashwath Rao was felicitated along with Varsha Mestha.
