Bengaluru: Ramalinga Reddy angry at postponement of ministry expansion

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 7: Senior Congress leader and former home minister, Ramalinga Reddy, has expressed his displeasure at the repeated postponement of state ministry expansion plan by the party high command.

"The high command should take a firm decision on ministry expansion. It is not right to give some date, postpone the exercise, and frustrate the aspirants. Instead, the party can very well announce that the ministry expansion would happen only after the Lok Sabha election," he remarked.

Reddy felt that several senior legislators from the party have been overlooked during the formation of the ministry. He questioned whether the party is right in giving ministerial berths to D K Shivakumar, Parameshwar, R V Deshpande, K J George etc and leaving out H K Patil, Roshan Baig and himself from the ministry. He said he has no objection about providing opportunity to youngsters but asserted that neglecting senior leaders is also not right.
