Mumbai: Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association elects Santhosh R Shetty as president

Mumbai, Dec 26: The executive committee of the Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association elected unanimously Santhosh R Shetty as their president. He is a young hotelier of zone three. He was elected in the meeting held on Saturday afternoon December 23 at Vijayalaxmi Mahesh Shetty mini auditorium, Kurla east.

Ahar commenced in 1976. New office bearers for the year 2017-18 were also elected in the meeting. Mahendra Sooru Karkera, Krishna V Shetty, Vijay Shetty, Suresh Shetty, Vijay Shetty, Anil Shetty, Rajan Shetty, Bhujanga Shetty, Karunaker Shetty and Prabhaker Shetty were elected vice presidents. Vishwapal S Shetty was elected honorary chief secretary, Jayananda, honorary treasurer, Rajesh Naik honorary joint secretary, Saveed Harsha, honorary joint treasurer and executive committee members were also elected on the occasion.



Arvind Shetty, election officer conducted the elections and announced the names of the newly elected members.

Ahar executive secretary Vasanth K Karkal, B S Rao, Bola Mohini Ravi Poojary, Mangesh Mehar, Santhosh Rani, former office bearers and members were present.

Newly elected president Santhosh R Shetty hails from Udupi. He is the son of Udupi residents Raju A Shetty and Prema R Shetty and a holder of B E degree. He runs hotels in Siwri and Matunga.
