Hyundai has launched its sixth generation Elantra in the Indian market


Sep 10: Hyundai Motor India has conquered its competitor once again in the Indian market by launching the sixth generation Elantra. The new car model will be available in nine variants. The base petrol variant has been priced at Rs 12.99 lakh while, on the other hand, top-end diesel variant has been scheduled a price of Rs 19.19 lakh.

The new Hyundai Elantra has been refurbished completely in terms of look and appearance. The new model comes with Hyundai’s new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. The car body lines are now becoming a modish look. The car possesses a bold hexagonal grille with horizontal slats flanked by sleek HID headlamps. Some of the exclusive features of Hyundai new Elantra are LED daytime running lights (DRLs), new 16-inch gunmetal finish alloy wheels and wide LED tail lights. The new car has become wider and spacious as compared to its ancestors. The new Elantra also owns black interiors with a huge list of unique features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with USB, AUX-In, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control and electric seats with ventilation for the front. Moreover, the new car also equipped with some advanced features like steering-mounted controls, smart key with push-button start, safety escort headlamps and the Smart Trunk function.

The petrol powered version possesses a 1999cc motor which produces 152PS of power and 192Nm of torque. While, on the other hand, the diesel-driven car possesses the same 1582cc engine which produces 128PS of power and 260Nm torque. Both engines come with an option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The new Elantra has already given a tough competition to its competitors like Chevrolet Cruze, the Toyota Corolla Altis, the Volkswagen Jetta and the Skoda Octavia.
