Mangalore, May 29: "Media which focuses more on positive news in this age when there is a heavy influx of negative news, is fast vanishing. At such a crucial stage, it is a matter of great pleasure to see newskarnataka web portal which is a unique experiment in its own way," said Francisco Sardinha, chairman, Committee on Estimates, Lok Sabha and former chief minister of Goa.

He was speaking after unveiling the logo of newskarnataka.com, a new Kannada news portal at Ocean Pearl here on Monday May 28.

Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of Karnataka legislative assembly, who officially launched the news portal wished success to the new venture and hoped the web portal, through its news, would bring about the much-needed positive change in the society.

P B Harish Rai, president of DK Working Journalists’ Union who was present as a chief guest, while assuring wholehearted co-operation of the Union to the young and dynamic team behind newskarnataka, wished that it would live upto the expectations of the society through its impressive and straightforward reports.

Jerald Crasta, chairman, Prakruti Group of Institutions, Prakash Siddakatte, chief of Pace Soft Media and Nelson Kulshekhar, marketing chief of newskarnataka, were present on the dais.

RJ Avinash Kamath was the master of the ceremony. Prakash Siddakatte proposed the vote of thanks.

    I hope this web portal will function professionally. While I visited their portal, there is no Editor or editorial committees names mentioned. Its very important to disclose who all are involved in this website. News Karnataka owners are dare to who is the actual owner and Editor?

    Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of Karnataka legislative assembly, is a clean politician. From many years He is now MLA from M'lore. Simple man. BUT NOT DONE MUCH WORK IN HIS CONSTITUENCY...
    The bad concrete road plans...no proper gutters...No cleanliness...Dumping of Garbage on the road side....No proper bus stands...No proper Auto stands...Bad service from the Private Bus owners...Extreme Power Cut problems....DIRTY Dist., Govt. hospital...and many more.....etc.
