May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to his family members. Fr. Norbert was our Parish Priest from 1974 to 1982. He built the new Church at Pernal in 1980. A simple Priest who has inspired many. God gave him a long life which is a blessing. I last met him in October 2010. He was the one who recommended me to go to St. Philomena College in 1976 for Graduation when Fr. Henry Castelino was the Principal there from which I am well benefited. I am indebted to both of these Priests. Fr. Henry Castelino also was our Parish Priest at Pernal during 1972-1974 who is also no more.

May the soul of Fr. Norbert D'Souza rest in peace. He was loved by everyone in all parishes he served. When he was in Kirem Parish, he came to Mumbai to collect donation for some work related to Kirem Church. At that time, someone brought him to my place for donation, since I was educated in Pompeii High School, Kirem. I have allegiance to my school and Kirem Parish. Fr. Norbert told him "I know Santan and also I know that he studied in Pompeii, Kirem, but still he does not belong to Kirem Parish. I have full faith in our Kirem parishioners and I also know that they are capable to give enough amount for the parish work". Saying that, he did not take donation from me.

May the departed soul of Fr. Norbert rest in peace. Hearty condolences to Fr. Clifford and all those people whom he loves and served. I had the privilege of helping him in his ministry especially in Pilar parish for three months when he was away to get financial help to build the church. He was amiable, committed and a zealous pastor.
