Makkah, Jun 29:
Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal will sponsor the opening ceremony of Bait Al-Talib, a student house built by the General Administration for Education in the holy city at a cost of SR15 million, scheduled to be held today .

Bakr bin Ibrahim Basfar, director of education in Makkah province, said the project sprawling on a 10,000-square meter area consists of a number of offices, a guest house, eight VIP suites, 52 rooms for students, a prayer area that can accommodate up to 400 people, a meeting room, a theater, halls for indoor games, Internet services, a restaurant, and soccer and volleyball pitches.

“Bait Al-Talib has been designed in a way to ensure the diversity of utilities,” said Basfar, adding that the project is an addition to the region’s educational facilities. He said it would help further boost co-curricular activities such as picnics, competitions and other events. “It would enable students to get together at a place where they could develop friendship and plan trips to tourist locations in the Kingdom,” he said.

Basfar asked students and teachers in Makkah to make use of the facility, especially during the summer vacation.
