Puttur: Absconding POCSO accused arrested in Nelyadi

Puttur, Sep 10: The Uppinangady police arrested a man booked under the POCSO Act who had been evading court proceedings and absconding.

The accused has been identified as Ramesh, a resident of Kaukrady. A warrant had been issued against him for repeatedly failing to appear before the court for trial.

On Thursday, September 10, Uppinangady police station personnel, head constable Dayananda and police constable Raviraj, successfully tracked down and arrested Ramesh in Nelyadi.

Following his arrest, he was produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
