Those accusing Jay Shah of wrongdoing should go to court: RSS

Bhopal, Oct 14 (IANS): RSS General Secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi on Saturday said those levelling allegations against BJP chief Amit Shah's son should go to court, and the RSS does not want to take a stand on the issue.

Taking a different line from what was said by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on Thursday, Joshi said those who have levelled allegations against Jay Shah should go to the court.

"It is not necessary that allegations levelled against someone are true. There is no reason to believe this. How allegations are levelled these days, everybody knows," Joshi said.

He said it is for the court of law to decide who is a guilty and who is not. "So those making charges against Jay Shah should approach the courts because RSS does not deem it fit to take a stand on such issues," he said at the conclusion of the three-day meet of RSS National Executive Committee here.

Hosabale had earlier said that if there are corruption allegations against anyone, an inquiry should be done and "action can be taken accordingly. But there has to be prima facie evidence of wrong-doing".

The opposition has demanded a probe into allegations that the turnover of the junior Shah's company increased 16,000 times in one year after the BJP came to power in 2014.

Joshi also said the RSS will focus on working on the youth in rural areas to bring about social change.

"The Sangh will now focus on rural areas as social change is a big challenge there. We will work on the youth for Hindutva as well as societal transformation."

Joshi said that India's 60 per cent population lives in villages and Sangh's two-third of all shakhas run in villages while one-third work in the cities.

He said that besides running regular shakhas there is also need for focusing on other activities such as promoting social harmony and equality and other societal challenges.

He said that efforts should be made to make farmers self-sufficient and the Sangh feels that the government should formulate agricultural policies only after consulting the farmers.

One of the themes in the prime minister’s campaign speeches and rallies during his early years in office, that struck an immediate chord with the country, was his comments on how the relatives of powerful politicians grow rich after their parents reach high office. This was, of course, something the Indian people knew to be a fact but Modi was the first senior politician to speak about it, freely, frankly and frequently.
As far back as August 2013, in Bhuj, Modi said:
Nepotism, the favouring of brothers and nephews, were a staple of serials in the past. Over time, this has undergone a change. Then uncles and nephews appeared, and now mothers-in-law and sons-in-law have entered the plot.
Twenty five months later, speaking in San Jose in September 2015, he was more explicit:
In our country, politicians very quickly start attracting allegations. That person made 50 crore, another 100 crore. The son made 250 crore, the daughter 500 crore and the son-in-law 1000 crore…Don’t we hear this all the time?My countrymen, I am now standing in front of you. Are there any allegations against me?
At the time, the case that seemed to best illustrate Modi’s rhetoric was that of Robert Vadra. In a series of reports, alleged his company's fortunes had jumped from Rs 50 lakhs to over Rs 300 crore in just six years. Sixty five days later the land Vadra bought for 7.5 crores was sold to DLF for 50 crore, a profit of 770%.
Several questions are now likely to come to the mind of the Indian voter.

If the Shah story is reminiscent of the Vadra episode, don’t the prime minister’s comments in 2013 and 2015 apply as much to the former as they do to the latter?
If one was an example of “bhai-bhateejavad” isn’t that also true of the other?
If Vadra’s good fortune creates suspicion because his mother-in-law is Congress president, are we not entitled to ask whether Shah’s luck is connected to his father’s position as BJP president?

Modi Loves to Speak. So Why is He Silent on Jay Amitbhai Shah?

Wow, the RSS has a new found respect for the rule of law. When RSS and its affiliates committed crimes when the BJP was not in power, such as demolition of Babri Masjid its argument was the law did not matter because faith superseded law. Now that the BJP is in power it wants crimes committed by its supporters to be tried in a court of law because the BJP can manipulate and influence courts and judges.

so, from this statement, we can realise, RSS and BJP have all control over court and judges.
if he is innocent, why does he file defamation case for 100 crores, he has invested only 50 thousand rupees, so he can file case for 50 or 10 rupees only.
why modi is silent on this???

IF YOU OR YOUR PARTY THINKS HE HAS DONE MISTAKE, WHY ARE YOU NOT FILING COMPLAINT AGAINST HIM?

EVEN I WANT TO KNOW IF HE HAS DONE SOMETHING WRONG OR NOT.

BUT SO FAR I AM HEARING ONLY FILMY DIALOGS FROM YOU GUYS AND NO ACTION ON THE OTHER HAND JAY HAS ALREADY FILED DEFAMATION CASE.

SO OBVIOUSLY IT IS GIVING THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU PEOPLE HAVE CREATED FAKE STORY. THERE NO QUESTION OF BJP OR CONGRESS JUST SEE THE FACTS ON GROUND.

Double Standards. Imagine the extensive media coverage and numerous enquiries made by the central Govt and the state Govt of Haryana against Vadra. Now when it comes to their own kin, they conveniently wash off their hands. All the irregularities and scams reported since 2014, a pattern is emerging that there will be no accountability for any corrupt praciItces. This could be the reason that the Lokpal has not yet been appointed by the central Govt inspite of being in power for three and half years. You scratch my back, I will scratch your back is the understanding between the BJP and the RSS instead of fulfilling their commitment to the people to rid this country of Corruption. Jay Shah will remain the Litmus Test for both the BJP and the RSS.
