Mumbai, Aug 22: ‘Drowpadi Pratapa’ yakshagana was staged under the direction of renowned yakshagana director Geeta L Bhat, at the Dr Vishwesharaiah hall at Matunga west here, on Saturday August 19. The women artistes who performed the yakshagana, were praised for their performance.

The yakshagana was organized in aid of the old age home which is being constructed by the Mumbai South Canara Brahmins’ Association (BSKBA), at Nerul in Navi Mumbai.

Yermal Harish Shetty, working president of Buntara Sangha membership committee, presided at the stage programme held on the occasion. Also present was social worker Sarala Shetty.

Dr Suresh Rao, president, BSKBA and Geeta L Bhat, yakshagana director, were honoured on the occasion.
Office-bearers of BSKBA Balachandra Rao, Subbanna Rao and Vijayalakshmi Rao, were present on the dais. Lakshmish Bhat proposed the vote of thanks.
