Beltangady, Aug 30: The Venur police have arrested a warrant accused who had been absconding for the past 13 years after failing to appear for court hearings.

The accused, identified as Srinivas K alias Sheenappa alias Sheena (43), was apprehended at Koracharatti in Harapanahalli of Vijayanagara district.

 

He was wanted in connection with a case registered at the Venur police station in 2012.

Following his arrest, the accused was produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
