Bengaluru, Jul 24: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that several parts of Karnataka will continue to receive good rainfall not just this week, but also into the coming week.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in isolated places across Uttara Kannada, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada districts from the evening of Wednesday, July 24 onwards. With the rainfall expected to range between 64.5 mm to 115.4 mm, and potentially up to 204 mm in some areas, an orange alert has been issued for these three coastal districts for today. The IMD has advised the public to take necessary precautionary measures.

Furthermore, heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated places across the three coastal districts from July 25 to 30. Similar weather conditions are expected in the south interior districts on July 24, 25, 28, 29, and 30, and in the north interior districts on July 24, 28, 29, and 30. As the rainfall in these regions is likely to range from 64.5 mm to 115.4 mm, a yellow alert has been declared for these respective dates.
