Puttur Land tribunal member passes away due to heart attack during meeting

Puttur, Jul 8: In a shocking incident, Niranjan Rai Mathandabettu, a member of the Puttur Land Tribunal, collapsed and passed away due to a sudden heart attack while attending an official meeting on Wednesday, July 8.

The tragic incident occurred at the Puttur assistant commissioner's office during a board meeting presided over by assistant commissioner Stella Varghese. While the meeting was in progress, Niranjan Rai suddenly suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed on the spot.

Assistant commissioner Stella Varghese, the tahsildar, and other officials present at the meeting immediately rushed to his assistance. He was promptly shifted by the officials to the government hospital, but he could not be saved.

Apart from his service on the land tribunal, Niranjan Rai Mathandabettu was also a well-known and widely respected Kambala commentator. The sudden news of his demise has plunged his family members and well-wishers into deep grief.

    Sad to hear this.Heartfelt sympathies to family.May times I have mentioned here ,that first aid is A and O:means first thing one should do is a first aid at the spot so that brain gets immediate oxygen.later when person starts to breath then take anywhere.Brain cant survive if oxygen more than three means doesnt get.Please start giving artificial breath and heart massage .even when one doesnt know how to do keep patient lying and with both hands on chest press in intervals.If you try to take to hospital it takes more than 15minutes .Heart should pump blood to brain and heart too needs blood.
