Mangaluru, Jun 14: The annual performance review and award ceremony of MCC Bank for the financial year 2025–26 was held on June 13, at the PFX Saldanha Memorial Auditorium at the administrative office of MCC Bank in Mangaluru.
The programme was inaugurated by Fr Maxim Rosario, estate manager of the Mangaluru diocese, through the traditional lighting of the lamp. In his inaugural address, Fr Maxim Rosario described MCC Bank as the pride and jewel of the Catholic community and expressed his happiness at witnessing the remarkable progress achieved by the bank over the years. He appreciated the visionary leadership of chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo, the guidance of the board of directors, and the dedicated efforts of the staff in taking the bank to greater heights. He particularly commended the customer-friendly approach, professionalism, and commitment displayed by the staff, which have helped earn the trust and confidence of customers.














































Fr Rosario emphasized that the annual performance review was not only an occasion to evaluate achievements but also an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and plan for future growth. He stressed the importance of innovation, teamwork, integrity, continuous learning, and customer-centric service in the rapidly changing banking environment. Urging all employees to work with dedication and a shared vision, he expressed confidence that MCC Bank would continue to grow and remain a model cooperative institution and a source of pride for the Catholic community. He concluded by invoking God's blessings upon the bank, its management, staff, and customers.
In his presidential address, chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo appreciated the dedicated efforts of the staff in achieving the bank's historic growth of 25% during FY 2025–26. He stated that this remarkable achievement was the result of the collective commitment, hard work, and customer-centric approach of the bank's employees across all branches.
The chairman emphasized that the staff are the true strength of the bank and urged them to combine hard work with smart work to achieve even greater milestones in the current financial year. While appreciating the encouraging performance of the newly established branches, he called upon the older branches to intensify their efforts and contribute more significantly to the bank's growth.
He specially congratulated the Ashoknagar branch for securing the Best Performance Branch Award and commended the branch team for setting an example for others to follow. He also highlighted the outstanding achievement of the Brahmavar branch in attaining profitability within just two years of operations, a milestone rarely achieved by newly opened branches. Referring to the rapid growth of several new branches that achieved a business turnover of Rs 10 crore within a short span, he described these accomplishments as a reflection of the bank's immense potential and the dedication of its employees.
The chairman urged all staff members to remain united in their efforts, focus on branches facing growth challenges, and continue delivering excellent customer service. He concluded by thanking the board of directors, advisors, guests, and staff members for their invaluable contributions towards the bank's continued progress and success.
S H Visweswaraiah, bank advisor and former deputy general manager of State Bank of India, presented a comprehensive review of the bank's performance for FY 2025–26 covering branch-wise deposits, CASA, advances, business turnover, growth since 2018, and the bank's NPA position. He analysed key growth parameters and applauded the staff for their contributions towards achieving business targets and improving the bank's overall financial performance.
The staff performance review and award ceremony – 2026 was presided over by chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo. Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd, Fr John L Sequeira, principal of Lourdes Central School, Bejai, and ACP Ravish S Nayak from the CCRB unit of the Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate were the chief guests. General manager Sunil Menezes and all the directors were present on the dais.
Irene D'Souza, manager of the Puttur branch, and Violet Crasta, staff member of the Bajpe branch, who retired from the bank's service during the year, were honoured for their dedicated service.
Recently married staff members Viola Cutinha, Dafny Lewis, Prathvi, and Arun D'Cunha were felicitated on the occasion.
Sunil Menezes, general manager, announced the winners of various awards including Star Achievers, Best Performance Branch under Deposits and Loans, Deposit Mobilisation Excellence Branch, Credit Growth Excellence Branch, Outstanding Branch Achievement, Highest Turnover Branch, and Milestone Achievement in One Year Awards for FY 2025–26.
Star Achievers Awards were bagged by Wilma Jyothi Sequeira, branch manager of the Kulshekar branch; Sharon Rosario, branch manager of the Moodbidri branch; Ancilla Fernandis, branch manager of the Shirva branch; Jyothi Barretto, branch manager of the Kundapura branch; and Sandeep Quadros, branch manager of the Byndoor branch.
The Award for Best Performance Branch under Deposits and Loans was bagged by the Ashoknagar branch under the leadership of Lolita Mendonca, branch manager.
The Deposit Mobilisation Excellence Award was won by the Founders branch under the leadership of Lancy Lobo, the Kulshekar branch led by Wilma Jyothi Sequeira, the Moodbidri branch led by Sharon Rosario, the Shirva branch led by Ancilla Fernandis, the Bajpe branch led by Rohan K D'Silva, and the Karkala branch led by Rohan Joy Pinto.
The Credit Growth Excellence Award was won by the Kundapura branch led by Jyothi Barretto, the Puttur branch led by Irene D'Souza, the BC Road branch led by Marian D'Cunha, and the Brahmavar branch led by Owin Rebello.
The Outstanding Branch Achievement Award under CASA, deposits, and loans targets was bagged by the Udupi branch led by Pradeep D'Souza, the Beltangady branch led by Jyovita Serrao, the Belman branch led by Shiny Lasrado, the Byndoor branch led by Sandeep Quadros, and the Santhekatte branch led by Ajith D'Souza.
The Highest Turnover Branch Award was won by the Founders branch under the leadership of Lancy Lobo.
The Milestone Achievement in One Year Award for FY 2025–26 was bagged by the Belman branch under the leadership of Shiny Lasrado, the Beltangady branch under the leadership of Jyovita Serrao, and the Byndoor branch under the leadership of Sandeep Quadros.
The branch managers of the award-winning branches were felicitated with a shawl, floral bouquet, award, and cash prize. The staff members of the respective branches were also honoured with floral bouquets.
In his address, Walter Nandalike congratulated MCC Bank on its outstanding performance and remarkable growth over the years. He appreciated the visionary leadership of chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo, the guidance of the board of directors, and the dedicated efforts of the management and staff in strengthening the bank's position among leading cooperative institutions. He noted that the bank's steady expansion, strong financial performance, and customer-focused services reflected the hard work and commitment of its employees.
Walter Nandalike also commended the staff for maintaining close relationships with customers and for their role in building public trust and confidence in the bank. He emphasized that customer satisfaction, teamwork, and innovation were essential for sustained growth in the competitive banking sector. He encouraged the employees to continue their sincere efforts and strive for excellence so that MCC Bank would achieve even greater milestones and continue to serve the community with distinction.
In his address, Fr Johnson L Sequeira congratulated MCC Bank on its remarkable growth and achievements, describing the institution as one large family that values and recognizes the contributions of its members. He appreciated the bank's initiative of honouring retired employees, newly married staff members, and outstanding performers, stating that such recognition motivates employees to strive for excellence. He commended the chairman and board of directors for fostering a culture of appreciation and encouragement.
Fr Sequeira emphasized that earning and retaining the trust of customers is the key to success in the banking sector. He urged the staff to continue providing quality customer service, maintain the bank's legacy of trust and reliability, and work with dedication to take MCC Bank to greater heights. He congratulated all the award winners and wished the bank continued success in the years ahead.
In his address, ACP Ravish S Nayak emphasized the growing importance of cyber safety awareness in today's digital era. He urged the staff to remain vigilant against various cyber frauds and to educate customers on safe digital banking practices. He highlighted the need for safeguarding personal and financial information, exercising caution while responding to online communications, and promptly reporting suspicious activities. He appreciated MCC Bank's initiative in organizing the awareness session and stressed that continuous awareness is the key to preventing cybercrime.
A cyber safety awareness session was conducted by Suresh M from the office of the assistant commissioner of police. He sensitized the staff on various cybercrimes, including cyber fraud, WhatsApp fraud, online banking fraud, Facebook scams, OTP frauds, and digital arrest scams. He explained the common techniques used by fraudsters and highlighted the precautions to be taken to protect personal and financial information. He also emphasized the importance of creating awareness among customers and adopting safe digital banking practices to prevent cyber fraud.
