Taunton, Jun 3: India captain Harmanpreet Kaur created history on Tuesday by becoming the most-capped player in women's international cricket during the third T20I against England.
Kaur surpassed New Zealand great Suzie Bates after making her 368th appearance in international cricket, moving to the top of the all-time list.

The Indian skipper now leads the chart with 368 international matches, followed by Bates with 367 appearances. Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry occupies third place with 357 caps.
Most matches in women's international cricket:
Harmanpreet Kaur – 368
Suzie Bates – 367
Ellyse Perry – 357
Mithali Raj – 333
Sophie Devine – 313
Kaur, who made her international debut in 2009, has represented India in 197 T20 Internationals, 164 One-Day Internationals and seven Test matches during her 17-year career.
The 36-year-old is also on the verge of another landmark achievement. She is just three matches away from becoming the first cricketer in men's or women's international cricket to play 200 T20 Internationals.
Bates is second on the list with 183 T20Is, while England batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge has featured in 180 matches. In men's cricket, the record is held by Paul Stirling with 163 appearances, ahead of Rohit Sharma, who played 159 T20Is.
Meanwhile, Kaur's historic milestone was overshadowed by India's defeat in the third T20I. The Indian captain scored an unbeaten 56 off 40 balls and anchored the innings after the early dismissals of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, helping India post 180/5.
However, England successfully chased down the target, thanks to a match-winning 137-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Alice Capsey and Heather Knight. England reached the target with five wickets in hand to win the match and clinch the series 2-1.
