Los Angeles, May 8: LeBron James added another historic milestone to his glittering NBA career by becoming the first player in league history to appear in 300 playoff games.

The landmark came during Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals on Thursday, where the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a 125-107 defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Playing in his 23rd NBA season, the four-time NBA champion continued to extend a postseason legacy that has spanned more than two decades. James has now comfortably moved ahead of former Lakers guard Derek Fisher, who stands second on the all-time playoff appearances list with 259 games.

NBA legends Tim Duncan, Robert Horry and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar complete the top five.

Despite turning 41 this season, James has continued to perform at an elite level. The 22-time All-Star averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season, underlining his consistency and durability.

Remarkably, James has missed the playoffs only four times in his entire NBA career while representing three different franchises.

In his historic 300th postseason appearance, James finished with 23 points, six assists, three steals and two rebounds in 38 minutes. He also appeared to struggle with discomfort in his right hip and wrist after taking a couple of hard falls during the game.

However, the personal milestone came in disappointing circumstances for the Lakers, who now trail 0-2 in the best-of-seven series against the defending champions.

The series will now shift to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4, where the Lakers will look to revive their campaign and keep their title hopes alive.
