Moodbidri: Auto-rickshaw driver killed in collision with ambulance at Bannadka

Moodbidri, May 3: An auto-rickshaw driver died on the spot following a horrific collision between an ambulance and his vehicle at Bannadka on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as John Correa. The incident occurred when the auto-rickshaw was being reversed after dropping off passengers for a function at the Bannadka Math. An ambulance, traveling at a high speed from Moodbidri towards Karkala, crashed into the rickshaw.

The impact of the accident was so severe that the upper portion of the auto-rickshaw was completely crushed, while the front of the ambulance also sustained significant damage. Local authorities are investigating the matter.
