Udupi, Apr 27: Dr Leslie Clifford D'Souza, bishop of the Diocese of Udupi, has announced the official transfers and appointments of priests for the year 2026.

In the major transfers announced, Fr Denis D'Sa, currently the parish priest of Thottam, has been transferred as the parish priest of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi. Fr Charles Menezes, the parish priest of Udupi, has been transferred as the parish priest of Shirva.

Fr Pascal Menezes will take charge as the parochial administrator of Kuntalnagar, while Fr Stany B Lobo will retire and reside at Milagres Home, Kallianpur.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, who served as the parish priest and rector of Milagres Cathedral, has been transferred as the parish priest of Pernal. Fr Francis Lewis, the parish priest of Kalathur, will succeed him at Milagres Cathedral as the new rector.

Fr Rolwin Fernandes, the assistant parish priest of Pangla, will take charge as the principal of Holy Rosary School and St Mary's PU College, Kundapur.
