Jaipur, Apr 26: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by five wickets in a high-scoring encounter in Match 36 of the IPL 2026 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 25.
Batting first after losing the toss, Rajasthan Royals posted a strong total of 228 runs in the first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 10 runs off eight deliveries, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi starred with a fabulous century, scoring 103 runs off just 37 balls.
Dhruv Jurel contributed 51 runs, and Donovan Ferreira added 33, helping RR reach a formidable total. However, despite a flying start, the middle order could not fully capitalise, falling short of a potential 250-plus score.

For SRH, Eshan Malinga was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Pat Cummins, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain picked up one wicket each.
In reply, Rajasthan got an early breakthrough as Jofra Archer dismissed Travis Head for six in the opening over. However, SRH’s top order took control of the chase.
Ishan Kishan played a crucial knock of 74 runs off 31 deliveries, while Abhishek Sharma added 57 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with a quick 36 off 18 balls, guiding SRH to a comfortable win.
For RR, Jofra Archer and Brijesh Sharma picked up two wickets each, but their efforts were not enough to stop SRH from chasing down the target.
With this victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad climbed up the points table, while Rajasthan Royals were left to rue missed opportunities despite posting a big total.
