Mangaluru: Law and order satisfactory in Dakshina Kannada, says DGP Dr M A Saleem

Mangaluru, Apr 21: State director general of police (DGP) Dr M A Saleem has stated that the law and order situation in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district has remained satisfactory over the past one year, and officials have been instructed to maintain the same level of peace going forward.

During his visit to Mangaluru, he chaired a district police progress review meeting at the city police commissioner’s office. Speaking to the media after the meeting, he said that there have been no major untoward incidents in the district over the past year, and the law and order situation has been good. He added that police personnel have been directed to continue this trend and maintain cordial relations with the public.

He also said that several police personnel from North Karnataka and their family members have submitted requests seeking transfers. The issue was discussed in detail during the review meeting, and he assured that necessary steps would be taken in phases to facilitate their transfers.
