RR team manager fined Rs 1 lac for IPL protocol breach

New Delhi, Apr 17: Rajasthan Royals Team Manager Ravinder Singh Bhinder has been fined Rs 1 lakh for breaching the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) IPL PMOA protocols during a match earlier this season.

The incident occurred during Match 16 of the Indian Premier League between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on April 10.

According to officials, the violation involved the use of a mobile phone in the team dugout, which is prohibited under Article 4.1.1 of the IPL PMOA guidelines.

Bhinder admitted to the breach and issued an unconditional apology. As it was his first offence under the protocols, he was fined Rs 1 lakh in accordance with Article 7.42(a) of the rules.

He has also been cautioned to strictly follow the established guidelines and exercise greater care in the future.
